We ended up having a wide ranging, honest conversation about atheism, apathy, apologetics, Aussie evangelism, the big questions people are asking today, why outrage culture is a terrible evangelism strategy, why fighting fire with fire usually just burns everyone, and the role of the local church in speaking with confidence, humility, and grace – without turning into cultural warriors or shrinking into silence.
Just for clarity: the convo was recorded before the tragic Bondi events here in Australia. I reference Islam at a few points, and I want those comments heard in the spirit and context in which they were originally made.
